Pink Week #2: Opal Serenity

Nothing To Disclose

Hello everyone!  For day two of my Pink Week, I have the pink version of Barielle's Buddha-ful.  I don't know if this is the new or old formula, I have both.  lol   The other has a base that is more beige, whereas this one is a light baby pink.  When you get them on though, they look pretty much the same!

I have never worn this over another color.  I really prefer it in it's "natural" state.  It looks just like an opal!  It's gorgeous.

That's it for day two!  Tomorrow will be more pink, I promise.  Thanks for stopping in!

Barielle Swatch Love (AND an announcement!)

Hi everyone!  I am going to continue playing catch-up and start going back to the reviews I should have posted a long time ago!  I need to swatch new collections, and I'll throw those in from time to time as well. I don't want to do ALL reviews, just know that I might go to three per week until I catch up.  Remember, this is three months worth of materials I have lying around!  lol  Also, by reviews, I do mean shades that were sent to me AND full collections that I have bought on my own.  I'm just meaning that they will be a tad more informative then regular swatch posts!

Second on the agenda for today:  It's been a long time since I've done a giveaway!  I have started my second job (which is full time.  yeesh), so soon I will be putting together something pretty fun.  I'm not sure what it will be yet!  I DO know that if I can reach 500 followers and 100 FB "Likes" by March 31, it will begin on April 7.  Otherwise, I'll be starting it probably the first of May.  So, keep that in mind!  I need followers!  :)
This will be in addition to a FUN giveaway I have coming up next week.  I need to prepare the swatches for it, but trust me.  You want to pay attention to know when it is starting!  It will be more of a contest, so get your creative hats on!

Now, on to the polish!  I explained to you awhile back that Barielle and I had been in contact and they sent me some amazing polishes.  I am going to show you the other three that they sent today.  First up is Blackened Bleu:

Blackened Bleu
This is exactly what the name implies.  It is a (very) blackened blue base with a blue foil running throughout.  I absolutely LOVE this polish!  Application was great, and this is two coats.

Hidden Hideaway
I have wanted this polish from afar for quite some time, but for some reason, could never bring myself to buy it!  Can anyone tell me why?  It is a gorgeous dark purple with a purple metallic/foil/shimmer finish that makes it glow.  I was amazed when I saw it irl!  It is SO much different than I had thought!  The application on this was a little different, but still two coats.  You can see, though, that if you mess up it's a little hard to clean off as is typical with shades like this.  Be careful!

Green Opal
Here we have an olive green with a gold duo chrome.  It has a metallic finish, that makes me want to keep the polish, even though I didn't end up loving the color.  I may purge it at some point.  It really is very pretty as it flashes from gold (top photo) to a light olive (bottom), but just isn't me.  This had good application as well, and can also be achieved in two coats.

I don't have to talk much about these, I have already done a review recently and Barielle is one of my favorite brands!  The only cons I really have are with the website and have nothing to do with these at all.  The navigation on the website can be a little confusing if you've never used it before and takes a little time to get used to it.  Also, they use color drops.  I. Hate. Color drops.  Any time a company uses those, you can bet you should google swatches before you order a polish!  It will never be the same as it shows in those little computer generated droplets.  Ick.

That being said, I absolutely recommend this brand and especially these shades!  However, I recently added a ton to my wish list since they have added 90 colors to their core line.  SQUEE!  I am excited to get my hands on some of the new ones!

Barielle nail polish can be bought from their website and various e-tailors for $8.  The Barielle website often runs sales and specials, so I would check there first!  You can also find them several times a year on Hautelook for $4 each.  I'll give you a heads up here each time that even takes place!

What do you all think?  Will you be grabbing any of these??  Thanks for reading!

New Lemming Squashes

Hi everyone!  I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger this weekend.  I've just been SO busy!  That's no excuse, and I apologize.  However, I have some great things to show you in the coming weeks!  YAY!

Todays polish is a squashed lemming.  I placed an order Friday for some Secret Santa polishes, and decided to throw this in for me.  I couldn't help it!  The reason I hadn't ordered it before is the shipping, so why not, right?  I'm talking about Color Club Alias.  Let's look.

Alias is a HOT duo chrome that looks almost like Beetle.  I couldn't capture it with flash, and I don't have sun... I'll try again soon!  To make it a little more special, I added Elle's Spell to my accent fingers.  Looks amazing!  I LOVE Elle's spell with pretty much everything.  :)

Let's talk about Transdesign for a second too.  I seriously ordered these polishes on Friday.  Today is Monday and I have them already.  I'm SHOCKED!  That is amazing!  Super fast shipping, and it's quite a bit cheaper than other etailers I've used too.  I will be using them more!  (Although, I did get charged for two polishes I don't remember adding to my cart.... I'm keeping them, but it was a little strange.  You never know with me though!)  Thanks for looking!

I am back!

Hi everyone!  I'm back.  I told you it wouldn't be long. :)  Here's the deal.  Every once in awhile I have the WORST nail luck.  It seems to last forever.  This time, it was almost a week of crappy manis.  I was going to bed with perfect nails and waking up with chips every night.  How the hell does that happen?  On top of me being tired all the time, it just got to me.  I had naked nails for a few days, broke one and had to cut the rest all the way down (you'll see here in a minute) and let them kind of re-set.  Saturday came around and I tried again.  Zoya Jem.  It was a win... and a fail.  First, I finally was able to use it without it shrinking back a ton! YAY!  Second, there were major bubbles.  BOO!  Then Sunday came around, I wanted to take the damn bubbles off, but a miracle happened.  I found a magic combination.  I am in total aw.  I will share it with you soon.  First though, we'll take a look at Jem.

How beautiful is this polish?  Gorgeous.  I want to wear it ALL the time.  However, I think it is similar to ChG Let's Groove.  When I get some new wheels I'll do a comparison.  The formula was, as always, amazing.  This was almost a one coater.  Almost.  I had two nails that I had to use two coats with.  I. Love. Single. Coat. Polishes.

Next, I have the magic combo.  I topped Jem with Barielle Elle's Spell.  I have been lemming this for ages and I freaking love it!  Get it if you don't have it!  Seriously.  I'm going to show you a series of pictures, and warn you that some of them are horrible, but they were necessary.  I'm sorry in advance.  I think the color makes up for it!

I just about died when I saw these together.  WOW.  The thumb in the last picture is the most accurate of how it looks ALL THE TIME.  That's how incredible it is.  I am in love.  I may not take it of for awhile :)  Anyway, thanks for all the great words and concern.  Makes doing this worth it!  Thanks so much everyone!

Enter my giveaway *6 days left* vote in my poll!  Thanks for looking!
