Soulstice Spa Review

Happy October!  I absolutely love October.  My birthday, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, Halloween, fall festivals.... There is so much to do!  I'm never bored.  :)

Today I am going to review a couple of polishes sent to me by Kayse of Soulstice Spa.  I have reviewed her polishes before, and I am always excited about getting the chance to show you more!

This time around we were sent two polishes.  One from the brand new collection, and an older shade.  The ones I got were St. Barts (new) and Kiev (old).  Let's take a look!

Kiev

I show this first because it is the easy one! LOL  It is a deep blood red jelly that I am in LOVE with!  It makes me think it is a more opaque version of Zoya Katherine.  This is three coats.   Application was a little streaky due to the sheer nature, but it was easy to even out.  

St Bart's

This is one strange puppy.  It is a turquoise metallic polish, that almost has a blue duochrome.  No matter what I did, it wanted to photograph blue, but it is more green!  You can see throughout the pictures that the green is poking out.  (in the last picture the bubbles were from impatience.  Sorry!)  The formula was a little watery, which was kind of disappointing.  It took three coats to cover fully, but I used four for pictures.  

Overall, I really liked these.  St. Bart's doesn't seem to really be a fall shade, but Kiev is perfect!  I'm sure it will find itself on my nails soon!  As usual, my nails are in bad enough shape that I didn't do a wear test since my nails would have peeled later that day.  *sigh*  You should definitely check out the brand, though!  I absolutely love all the polishes I have... despite the extra coats needed.

Soulstice Nail Color: Cape Cod

Hello ladies!  Today I am posting a polish I got from the Soulstice Nail Color summer collection.  The lovely Kayse chose to send me Cape Cod, and I love it!  I thought it would be a very fitting post since the temp is supposed to be in the triple digits here, and I would LOVE to be at the Cape right now (even though I've never been!)

Cape Cod is a beautiful sky blue with a delicate shimmer running through it.  The formula is very similar to the other Soulstice colors I have tried, and looked perfect in two coats!  It is fairly self leveling, and any of the bumpiness you see is due to my nail condition at the time of swatching (as can be seen in other pictures I took that day!), and are no fault of the polish. I love love love this shade and think it is perfect for summer!

Soulstice Nail Color can be bought online from the Soulstice Spa website.  They retail for $8 each, or a 5 pack is only $30.  What a great deal!  These are worth every penny!  :)

Soulstice Nail Colour

Hi everyone!  I have a review of Soulstice Spa nail color.  I had heard some amazing things about this brand in the past couple of months and wanted to try it out!  

I was sent two colors to try out.  What did I think?

Rome

"A classic Brick Red"

Not so much.  I think of brick red as a darker, more blue based red.  This IS very classic though! I'd call it a perfect red.  Formula was good, no flooding at all, and covered well in two coats.  I don't think you would need a third for any reason.

Hana

"A sheer Fairy Dust"

Hana is interesting.  I was a little bummed when I saw it in person.  I expected more glitter!  It adds a gold shimmer to any polish it is layered on top of.  It's pretty, but I would have liked more sparkle!  I have it layered on top of Rome, Dr's Remedy NOBLE Navy and Dr's Remedy BALANCE Brick Red. I really like how it looks on top of the navy.  It has a good formula and went on very even.

PROS:  Good formula!  I wish I had gotten another cream or two so I could test that, but I think it is good across the board.  At least the two I got were, anyway.  The price is right on as well.  A 5-pack of these polishes (mix and match!) is only $30.  That runs about the same as China Glaze in most places!  

CONS:  None with the polish themselves!  The ordering process is a little strange, though.  You send an email telling them what colors you want, your address and some other information, and they'll send you a payment link.  There are a couple of other companies that do that *ie bettina*, so that's not so strange.  There aren't any swatches on their site though!  No bottle shots either.  That is *almost* a problem for me.    I search for swatches before I order anything, anyway, but if you don't, this could be a problem.  Something to think about!  

Overall:  I want to try more of these!  I had a list made up when the 5-packs were only $20, but I had an empty bank account.  Sometime after the beginning of the year I'll get some, though!  I think they are a good value, and the colors I've seen on other blogs are incredible.  I *need* Dublin!  I would for sure check these out if I were you!
