Colors By Llarowe Oops! and Days of Our Polish

Nothing To Disclose

Morning, lovelies!  Last week I won a giveaway, and I was sent two awesome Colors By Llarowe polishes!  The prize was donated by Traci over at Newsie Nail Novice.   I was actually sent two discontinued polishes, Runt and Days of Our Polish.  I swatched Runt on one nail and decided it isn't me, and swapped it for this gorgeous Oops!  I believe the one I have is "Addicts Attack" but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm going to leave you with very few words, and lots of pictures.  Both of these were awesome!  Very good first impression.  Both two coats.  Both linear holo.  While not super in your face, it is still stronger than my photos!

Oops!  Red based purple linear holo.  Pictures taken in a lightbox.

Days of Our Polish.  Teal linear holo.  Pictures taken in lightbox.

You can grab your own CBL polishes at llarowe.com for $12!

Which ones do I NEED to pick up?  Let me know!  Have a great weekend, everyone!  <3 p="">

Zoya Magical Pixies for Summer 2014

 Press Sample

Hi lovelies!  I almost forgot to post again today, but never fear!  Tonight I have the Magical Pixie Dusts for summer to show you!  If you were a little disappointed by the spring options, maybe you'll find something here to fix that!

The application on these was similar to the Spring collection, and the texture is the same.  For all of these I used three coats.

First up is Bar.  This is the "magical" version of Tomoko.  Sort of.  It has a similar tan colored base, but all the chunky holo goodness of the Magical Pixies.

Ginni is what I wanted Lux to be.  The base color is a lot more pink, and actually shows up against my skin!
Last, we have Arlo.  This is a beauty.  The "violet amethyst" of the group (I call her berry) is actually my favorite.  It has the richest color of all the Magical Pixies.

Magical Pixie Dusts retail for $10 each and can be found on Zoya's website.  To keep up with everything Zoya, you can follow on Facebook, instagram, or Twitter.

What do you think of these!  Thanks for stopping in!

Holo Haul

Nothing To Disclose

Morning, lovelies!  I don't have much to say today, so I thought I'd show you my haul from last week.  I wasn't meaning to buy anything since I am VERY low on funds, but I just couldn't pass these up.  Mentality had an amazing sale on their bigcartel site (that is no longer), and I managed to snag Orgasmic and Climax for under $10 shipped!  I couldn't pass it up.  :)   I also saw Lacquer Lust Pink Tourmaline being sold for a very good price, and had to grab it as well (since it IS my birthstone color...).  So take a look at the pretties below!

Orgasmic is a light blue holo that has blue and pink flecks that make it shine purple in the right light.

(I had to include this picture.  I LOVE how it shows motion!)

Climax is a silver holo with pink flecks in it.  Similar to Orgasmic, but not as purple.  So pretty.
Pink Tourmaline is a medium pink holo.  It is actually much stronger than the picture shows, but we've had storms all week and natural lighting has been very hit and miss.

So, what do you think?  I was personally thrilled by all three of these.  My pictures do them no justice at all!  Thanks for stopping in, have a great day!

Zoya Spring 2014 Magical Pixies

Press Sample

Good morning, lovelies!  I'm a little late to the party on these, but today I have the Spring Magical Pixie collection from Zoya!  I am so glad I'm finally getting around to my Zoyas!  The last two collections have just been fab!  So let's take a look, shall we?

First up is Cosmo.  A super chunky silver texture polish with large silver holo hexes.  This is so much prettier than a regular silver texture polish!  The holo pieces add a lot!

Vega is basically blue Cosmo.  So pretty!  Two coats cover perfectly.

Last up, Lux.  This is two coats.  I feel like my bottle wasn't as pink as some others?  I'm not sure, because I see swatches that are WAY more pink, and swatches that look like mine.  Either way, in the bottle this reminds me a lot of OPI Teenage Dream!  On the nail, it's the opaque (and chunky) version!  Super pretty.

I have mixed feelings about the Magical Pixies.  They are so pretty, and I LOVE the holo pieces!  On the other hand, they are much chunkier and the texture is much more apparent on the nail.  The feel kind of skeeves me out a bit (especially when they rub against something!).  They are gorgeous, though, and I feel like they will be worn quite a bit.

Zoya Magical Pixie polishes are available on their website for $9 each.

What do you think about these chunkier textures?  Let me know!  Thanks for dropping by!

Darling Diva 2013 Valentine's Duo & Bazinga

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Hi everyone!  Apparently I didn't post last week.  Oops!  I hadn't realized I was this distracted.  I need an assistant to keep me on track!  :)  I'm going to finish up with the indies that I had scheduled for a couple weeks ago, then I'll sit my butt down and make a calendar.  I'll need to, as I have some pretty big changes coming!  But for today, I have some Darling Diva polishes to show you!  :)

Darling Diva is one of my top indie brands.  I don't have a lot, but I am in love with almost everything she does!  A big one that I've wanted since it came out is Bazinga.  It is a white with different colors and sizes of hex glitters, and some purple rectangles thrown in for good measure.  I'm not really sure how it fits the inspiration, but I'm a sucker for a good name!
A couple polishes that I HAD to have right away were the ones in the Valentine's Day Duo for 2013.  As soon as they were posted to Facebook, I was in love!  The duo was made up of BJ (named after a friend, we've been told, and not the act lol) a hot pink holo with some bigger glitter flecks, and Ménage à Trois, a gorgeous glitter made of different size pink holo hexes.

I have two pictures of BJ because I couldn't find the holo in my light tent.  The first shows the color and sparkle, the second is a little blurry so you can see a tad bit more of the holo.

Here are the glitters!  Love them!  This is one coat over BJ except on my middle finger where it is alone.  The base doesn't really have a pink tint... My nails were stained pink from something!  lol  One or two more swipes with acetone and it was gone, but I thought it was kind of funny.

You can find the duo at her Etsy shop, BJ is $12 and is listed as Last Call (grab it fast!!), and Ménage á Trois is $8.  Bazinga is discontinued (sorry about that!), but you can find lots of other gorgeous at the link above or on BigCartel.  Thanks so much for stopping in!  See you tomorrow! :)

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Hey lovelies!  Got a little behind, but today I have some gorgeous Mentality polishes to show you!  I'm basically going to let them talk for themselves, so here ya go!

First up, Overcast.

Next is Kindness which is one of the Black Light Holos.  It's blue with teal and purple shifts.

Now is Curiosity.  Green with a reddish/bronze shift.

Last is Tenderness.  This is red with a gold and green shift.

Don't you love these?  Hilary makes some of my most favorite polishes ever!  Do you have any?  Thanks for looking!

Pink Week #5: The Final Mani

I made it a whole week!  One color scheme, no missed posts!  I've got to do this again ;)  I may make this a once a month thing.  Or every other week?  Or... What are some ideas you have?

For this mani I once again used Color Club Beyond and also: Color Club Halo-graphic, China Glaze Glistening Snow and Zoya Lo.

I tried to make a bow with Glistening Snow, but it didn't quite translate.  The dots also kind of smeared.  Otherwise, I really like this mani!  I left it on and I really didn't think I would.

Pink week is over!  Did you like it?  Not?  Only certain parts?  Remember, I'm trying to make my blog better this year, so let me know!  Thanks for stopping :)

Pink Week #3: I've Been Framed!

Day 3!  When I started this week, I decided I wanted to do more art.  This was one technique that I couldn't really decide if I liked it or not.  When I got done, I realized that if I can get good at it, I kinda like it.  Then I see it in pictures and I don't.   I think it's because my nails are so much bigger!

So for today's mani I did frames.  I used a Singapore exclusive OPI called "That's Berry Daring," and Color Club Beyond for the dots.  This is how it turned out!

My camera kind of flipped out with the pink.  The top photo is the most accurate.  Also, I was super shaky when I did these,  so some dots are sort of messed up.  Other than that, I think they are pretty good!  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping!

La Bella Vernice: When The Stars Go Blue

*Polishes in this post were paid for by me, friends or family.  They were NOT sent for review or as compensation of any kind.*

Hello readers!  Today I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking because I have a STUNNER for you!  First, I have to tell you about the polish and show you this:
See how oddly short my pinkie is?  I left this picture the way it is to show you why I choose to crop down to three fingers for the rest of the pictures that I took with my fingers out flat.  I personally think it looks better.  If you don't, let me know!

Now about the polish.  You may remember quite a ways back that I made the announcement that a friend was going to start her own polish company, and I'd be designer for her.  Remember?  Well, La Bella Vernice was born and we have done some amazing things!  This is one of them!

When The Stars Go Blue is a multi chrome with holo sparkles, and is available in the Winter Blues collection.  Now, it's time for the pictures to speak.  There are tons of them!

This is the only picture I used flash on.  I had to show that teal!

Gorgeous, isn't she?  On some of the pictures you can almost see some gold wanting to play... I just couldn't quite get it though.  Other than that, I think you get the point!  You can buy this and all other Bella goodies at bellavernice.com for $10.
