Kleancolor Bikini Green

No chit chat today!  Honestly, sometimes I feel stupid typing all that out.  So, straight to the color!

Kleancolor Bikini Green came to me by accident.  I had ordered it from a swap, but the bottle leaked.  Usually, I would just clean it up and not worry, but the polish seemed to have eaten the cap!  So, I poured it into an empty bottle and sent off an email to the seller.  Thankfully, they sent me another one and I got to keep what was left of the bad bottle! YAY!  I am SO glad I did, too.  This color is AMAZING.
Bikini Green

I seriously had never intended to buy this shade for myself.  In pictures, it doesn't look as bright as it really is.  It's a true neon!  It also looks super pale in the bottle.  I adore it on, though.  It will be perfect for this summer!

Long story short, I hate that I don't have access to brands like this.  They always look so much different online!  Do any of you have this?  Thanks for stopping in!

St Patty's Day Nails

Hi everyone!  Since I am waaaaaaay behind, I am going to post on Sunday!  I may do that for awhile until I get used to posting everyday again.

Today I'm going to show you some St. Patty's Day designs that I was playing around with.  As you may know, I will not be able to paint my nails for the holiday due to the ASK Cosmetics Bare Naked Nail Challenge (I hope to have an update soon), but that doesn't mean you can't!  I did this way in advance so I'd have something to show for my favorite holiday :)

We start off the week of green with a fail.  I like these nails individually to be used as accents (or the index finger for a whole mani.  I loooooooove that one).  All I used was Hard Candy Envy as a base for all the nails.  Then I used different embellishments on each of them.  I have my field of shamrock (pinky), pot of gold (middle), orange dots (idk what they are supposed to be lol  Fairy lights?) on my pinky, and then orange and green on my index finger.

To make the base of the middle finger and the tip of the index orange, I used Girly Bits Street Magic.  Honestly, I didn't expect it to turn that color!  It was an unexpected surprise that I turned out loving.  It is one truly amazing polish!

The rest of this week I have three (I think) more designs to show you.  One is a fail, but I really like the others.  In the meantime, I want to welcome my new followers:  HI NEW FOLLOWERS!  Thanks so much for taking the time to read my little blurbs :)   I appreciate you all!

Tell me below what your plans are for the holiday and what you think of these nails.  I wanna know! Thanks for reading! <3

My First Picture Polish

Hi everyone!  I got super exciting mail yesterday!  Not only did I get some Barielle that I had been expecting, but I got a swap package from Singapore!  She had asked which piCture pOlish I wanted if she could get them and I chose Shamrock.

Shamrock is a dark green jelly/cream.  I love it!  I added an accent of PP Hypnotize on the ring finger.  Love this polish!  It'll be great for St. Patrick's day!

Coming soon, look for the rest of the swap!  Thanks so much, Inky!

*update*  I ruined the accent on my right hand as I was writing this.  It will probably come off fairly early tomorrow.  Bummer.  *stupid sheets*

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Christmas Sweater

Hi guys!  The inspiration for this mani came from a post that had white polish and red/green dots at the tip. Well, I suck at dotting the tips and ended up with this:
While I like how it turned out, I can't help but be reminded of a sweater.  Since I am in NO way going to attempt an actual Christmas sweater mani, this will have to do!  Should I wear this again later on?  Do you like it?  Thanks for reading!

Spengler! I'm with Venkman! He got slimed!

Hello everyone!  Several apologies to begin: I haven't been keeping up with my Halloween (aka ANY) posts like I was hoping to.  Hopefully these last couple of ones will be okay enough to make up for it! :)  Second, didn't clean this mani up before I posted it.  Didn't decide what to do until late, and clean up will have to wait.  Finally, crappy pictures ahead!  They each show something different well though, so I'm fine with them.  Now, on to the post!

Today I did an ectoplasm drip mani.  Yup.  Ghost goo.  I feel like a lot of Halloween manis are really being over played this year, but not the blood drips (as badly).  Even more rare?  The slime drips!  I think I've only seen one blog post these.  So, let's take a look!
I used Icing Witch's Brew for the base, and this pic shows it best.

Sally Hansen Chartreuse Chase is what I made the drips out of, using a dotting tool.  I actually didn't have as much trouble with this method as I thought I would.  This is my first try!

Crappy glow in the dark shot #1..  I used the green glow in the dark glitter from Hot Topic on top of the CC.  It IS ectoplasm, after all!  This picture doesn't show the glow of the design very well, but I thought the bottle was appropriate.  :)

Crappy glow shot #2.  I really need a black light!  It's on my list!  When I get one, glows will be much easier to pick up!

So, this is what I will be wearing today.  What do you think?  I'm actually very pleased, as I didn't think it would turn out this well!  Let me know your thoughts, and thanks for looking!

Brazil Swap and Mani!

Hi everyone!  Sorry to have a haul post for you again so soon, but I am SO excited about the polishes! I got these in an international swap from the writer of Tata, Nada Ver!  She is an amazing girl, and she has amazing nails!  Click it!

So, here's what I got:

Lorena Master Sininho, Rivka Miranda, Rivka Jenny, Rivka Vanessa, Sancion Angel Ariel, Dote Luxe
HITS Tango, HITS Salsa, HITS Fox Trot, HITS Forte, Ultimate 3D Fireworks, Sancion Angel Cassie
You know I had to get holos!  Actually, all I got (except the one) are holo or flaky.  I am OBSESSED lately!  I'm bummed because it is going to rain the next couple of days, so I'll have to wait to see these in all their glory, but I couldn't wait and went ahead and did a mani with a couple of them:
I am wearing Sancion Angel Ariel, with Cassie on the accents.  I wish you could see the flakes better!  Check out the next few pictures, click to enlarge, maybe you can see them.  To my eye, though, the nails just look a little darker.

So there you have it!  I was absolutely ecstatic when I found out this was coming, and you can see why! Thanks again to my lovely swap partner (Idk if she uses her name online, so we'll leave it at that teehee)!  I can't wait to trade again!  {If you want to do an international swap, I'm game! Shoot me a message and we'll work it out!}

Thanks for looking everyone!

FOTD: Sinful Mint Apple

Hi everyone!  So, last night was CRAZY bust and I didn't get anything done.  Sorry! :) I also think I'm going to be gone this weekend... So hopefully I'll have some stuff set up.  I'm going to stay with a friend all weekend and we're going to go do TONS of stuff... Including sending me on a date.  lol  It'll be fun.

Anyway, today I'm showing you Sinful Colors Mint Apple (or is it mint CANDY apple?).  It's a pretty mint green with yellow/gold and maybe some silver shimmer in it.  Take a look:

Inside

Outside

I don't know how often I'll wear it, but it's a good  color.  Good two coat application.  Normal stuff.  Still hate the brush though!

On related news, I had to cut my nails WAY back after working Tuesday, and my right thumbnail BROKE even shorter!  WTH!?!?  I didn't know it was possible to break a nail that didn't have a free edge. Grrr!  So I  guess they'll be short awhile.  At least they look cute!

That's all I've got.  Pretty boring post today.   Maybe something more exciting tomorrow...I hope! Thanks for looking :)

FOTM: China Glaze Trendsetter

Hi everyone!  I know you are all excited to see swatches of my last haul. I have good news, and bad.  Good news, I swatched some of them for my FOTM posts, and will be showing you those first.  Bad news, I am ULTRA busy this week, so that's all I'll be able to do.   Hopefully I can swatch them sometime next week to get up here.  :(

Today, I am showing you the new ChG Trendsetter.  It's gross.  Seriously.  lol  Gross in a good way.  Sound weird?  Look and see if you can tell what I mean:
Outside, no flash

I don't think you can see it.  You may just have to try this polish yourself.  What it is, is a gross, nasty green.  Really.  Then, you get it in light and BAM you have gorgeousness.  There is this insane gold/yellow shimmer in it that totally changes the color.

Inside, flash
I'm really disappointed that you can't see it in these pictures.  In the next maybe?

Kinda.  Anyway.  I, surprisingly, hater of all greens, am really liking this polish.  The shimmer factor just wows me.  It really is very pretty when you have the right light on it.  And yes, I really am wearing it to work today.  I want to stare at it some more :)
Application wise?  WOW.  I had read somewhere that it was streaky on first coat.  Um.  No.  It was perfect.  It was almost a one-coater in fact.  A girl with shorter nails could probably get away with one since there wouldn't be any VNL.  It's amazing.  It's easy to control, pigmented, and delicious.  I recommend you pick it up.  Or at least borrow it to try once :)

Before I go, I was wondering if there were a way you guys would want me to change anything. Less features?  More about me?  LESS about me?  Give me some feedback!  I want to make this the best blog it can be! Thanks for looking!

Last Friday's Pool party

Hey everyone!  Quick question before I start rambling :)  Do you enjoy the FOTM posts, or would you like to see something else?  I can see it getting hard to do later on... If there's something you'd like me to start doing in September instead, let me know!  Otherwise, vote in the poll!  August is almost here! (ick)

Also, I got a request to add a "follow by email" box, so I have done that, as well as a Bloglovin button.  I have no idea how either of these work, but since you do they're there! You can check it out on the right side under my profile!

I ended up working today.  I'm friends with the owners of the place I work for and it is seriously never-ending drama with them.  They both like me so I don't have to deal with it, but seriously.  I got called late last night to come in today because the gf decided to leave town last night.  What?  That's enough of that though :)  More money for me I guess!  I gots bills to pay! lol

Last Friday I went to the "water park" with my friend and her kids.  It's been YEARS since I was at one, and just about as long since I've been swimming.  That makes me sad.  I've been swimming since I was two, and when I gained a ton of weight back (thanks endocrine system!) I just stopped going.  I was finally talked into going though and I am SO glad I did!  It's like I never stopped going.  It was so much fun!  I even conquered my fear of falling, and dark places, by going on the drop slide and the enclosed inner-tube slides.  AMAZING!  I can't wait to go back next week!

FOTM: Nubar Reclaim

Hi everyone!  This is the last post for June's FOTM.  My last holo.  One of my favorite holos.  I won't claim my favorite, I can't pick just one!  I'm not going to talk a lot.  This is a perfect formula.  One coat if you're careful.  I'll let the pictures speak.

These aren't the best, but as close as I would get to perfect without actually being perfect.  I LOVE THIS POLISH!  :)  Thanks for looking guys!

PS Last day to vote!

NOTD and review: Chartreuse Chase

Hello everyone! Today I have a polish from my haul last week.  Initially I was very excited about this polish.  That quickly faded.  So, first I will do my short review of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry polish in Chartreuse Chase.

When I started applying this polish I instantly started having problems.  First of all: I hate Sally Hansen's brush.  Some people may really like it, but it's too wide for my nail.  I make a mess.  It's horrible.  From there it didn't really get better.  It was hard to apply, streaky, patchy, I had tons of drag and..... bubbles.  Lots and lots of bubbles.  I'm not going to blame the polish yet, I will try again, but you'll see in the pictures how bad the bubbles truly were.  I've never seen them that bad!

There is hardly any surface not covered in bubbles.  Ick

Look at how messy my hands are!  A very small part of that can be credited to me trying to get a thicker third coat so I wouldn't need four, but most is because of the brush.

With ChG Fault Line
I was about ready to take Chartreuse Chase off and put it in my purge pile, but I put Fault Line on top.  It totally saved the life of this mani!  It has convinced me to give this polish a second chance.

Left hand... Can you see the itty bitty spots of Fault Line that stayed on the green?  Funny!
I really like how these two polishes look together.  I'm going to see how long it will stay on.  Maybe soon I'll give the polish another chance on it's own.  It is pretty, I just can't deal with the formula right now.  Do any of you have this?  What do you think?  Any tips about the freaking bubbles would be helpful too.  I didn't shake the polish, the coats weren't overly thick (the bubbles started with two thin coats) and the conditions in my room are the same as always.  I'm stuck.  Anyway, thanks for looking!
