Quick question!

Hi guys!  I just have a quick question.  I've been growing my nails from nothing since I started writing at the beginning of the month.  Besides the two I've broken (one of which is growing great and the other I just did *bummer*) they've been doing great.  Except the pointer finger on my right hand.  I don't photograph my right hand much, and that isn't why... But it won't grow!  It's still pretty much nothing.  It's starting to worry me?  Annoy me?  IDK.  I guess my question is this:  Has this ever happened to you?  If it has, what did you do to help it grow?  Thanks for looking, vote in my poll!

Thanks!

  1. It has! I have always had very unhealthy and slow growing nails, and to get them stronger and to grow I started remembering to take my multivitamin daily, drank more milk, moisturized my cuticles and hands a lot, and used two coats of a strengthening base coat. My favorite strengthening base coats are Orly Calcium Shield, Seche Restore, and Seche Rebuild, with Seche Rebuild being the one that produced the best results. Good luck!

I've been using Seche Rebuild... It's just lost on this ONE nail! I bought some Burt's Bees cuticle cream and I've been massaging it on several times a day. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for answering :)

  3. i think the nails on my right had grow slow too. good thing i am right handed so i do my designs on the left hand.

i used to have weak brittle nails. that when they reach a certain length, they'd chip or break.

ive been using orly calcium shield and i think it is doing wonders to my nails.

i just recently cut them short though because they were getting too yellow at the tips.

i have gel nails now :)

  4. I've found that the Sally Hansen growth base coat is the best for making my nails grow whenever one breaks and i get upset and cut them all off!

  5. I have the same problem really and I've always thought it's because it's just a finger we use a lot and its nails suffers from a lot of microscopic wear. So I don't think it's because it doesn't grow but because we just happen to bump into surfaces more with those nails than for example our ring finger nails if that makes sense.

  6. @ClaudiaThat does make a lot of sense! We'll see after I use a new treatment for awhile, but I totally hear what you're sayin!
