Does Anyone Do Pink Wednesday Anymore?

Hey y'all!  So, I don't know if you know this about me, but besides nails, I'm kind of a make-up hoarder.  Specifically Urban Decay palettes and OCC lip tars.  Oh my how I love lip tars!  Although, I haven't perfected them yet.  I can't get them to last on me!  I've tried just about every primer there is... Anyway, I digress.  Awhile back Sephora started carrying OCC products, and that's when I fell in love.  I was so excited to buy a whole bunch of colors and play with them!  I got a few, then the prices got jacked, and I had to stop buying them.  Around Christmas time, though, these sets with lip tar and corresponding nail polish popped up and I HAD to have Anime!  I would have bought others, but I already had all the tars that went with them.  Oops.  lol

Anime is just about the perfect neon pink.  The polish itself is a little thick and goopy, and doesn't self level.  Of course, this could be because I got it in the winter and I've never really used it.  I used three coats, and a thick layer of Poshe topcoat.  The finished look was actually kind of squishy and delicious looking!  That being, I'll still add thinner before I use it next time.  :)

As of now, Sephora doesn't have the Anime lip tar available.  I'm not sure if it's sold out, or what the deal is.  However, you can buy the polish/tar set for $22.50, or the polish alone for $10.

So what do you think of Anime?  Are there any other colors of polish/tar I should try?  Thanks for stopping in!

Neon Orange Ombre

Hello hello!  I really am going to get back on track... I promise!  I went on a spontaneous mini vacation last week and didn't get anything done... then I worked all weekend and don't paint my nails because they get destroyed quickly.  It's a total bummer :/  What I've found for you today, though, is a neon ombre I did way back this winter!  It has been waiting for hot summer days!  

I did this ombre they way I do the others, but instead of using white and black I used white and red.  If I had used black, the color would have turned muddy and gross.  Red, on the other hand, minimally changed the color base while added deepness.  I also could have kept the orange as my darkest color and just added yellow and gotten the same effect.

I really like how these turned out!  So bright and sunny!  Besides a reminder about my BLOG SALE (which still has TONS of stuff btw), that's all I've got today!  What do you all think??  Thanks for reading! 

I'm Seeing Dots!

Hi guys!  I am finally getting the post up that I said I would Monday!  How horrible am I?  I have to find my camera today and do some editing so I can schedule for the next week.  I work the next six days and then have ball games and races (that I work) on top of that.  I'll be super busy!  So today I'm going to post what I wore most of last week.

In one of my Facebook groups, we have gone back to doing weekly challenges.  Since my computer was effed, this is the first one I knew about!  Whoops :)  We did a "dotting tool" challenge last week and this is what I came up with:

For the base I used Cherimoya Black (my favorite one coat black!) and the dots are: Blue- ChG Towel Boy Toy, Pink - SinfulColors Fuchsia Neon, Orange - ChG Pool Party, Yellow - ChG Celtic Sun and Green - ChG Kiwi Kool Ada.  I used white underneath the colors so they would pop!  (Some of the dots are bigger than the white underneath, and it gives the black a neat glow)

I really love how this turned out!  The thumb is my favorite, since I seemed to get my spacing and everything down by the time I got to it.  I got tons of compliments, and I thought it was perfect to start summer with!

Kleancolor Bikini Green

No chit chat today!  Honestly, sometimes I feel stupid typing all that out.  So, straight to the color! 

Kleancolor Bikini Green came to me by accident.  I had ordered it from a swap, but the bottle leaked.  Usually, I would just clean it up and not worry, but the polish seemed to have eaten the cap!  So, I poured it into an empty bottle and sent off an email to the seller.  Thankfully, they sent me another one and I got to keep what was left of the bad bottle! YAY!  I am SO glad I did, too.  This color is AMAZING.

Bikini Green

I seriously had never intended to buy this shade for myself.  In pictures, it doesn't look as bright as it really is.  It's a true neon!  It also looks super pale in the bottle.  I adore it on, though.  It will be perfect for this summer!  

Long story short, I hate that I don't have access to brands like this.  They always look so much different online!  Do any of you have this?  Thanks for stopping in! 

Color Club Yum Gum

Hi everyone!  So, I told you that it's been nasty and cold here, and I've been wearing a lot of brights.  I wasn't joking.  For two days, I had a neon water marble on!  Everyone loved it, so I will have to post later on.  :)  For now, I'm showing you my favorite "bright cream" from my stash.  Color Club Yum Gum! 

Yum Gum is a super bright, almost neon, pink cream.  It is colored just like Double Bubble.  It smells the same too!  I have kind of a soft spot for scented polishes, but this one is truly great.  I'm so in love.  You'll be seeing this one a lot!

Last Friday's Pool party

Hey everyone!  Quick question before I start rambling :)  Do you enjoy the FOTM posts, or would you like to see something else?  I can see it getting hard to do later on... I ended up working today.  I'm friends with the owners of the place I work for and it is seriously never-ending drama with them.  They both like me so I don't have to deal with it, but seriously.  I got called late last night to come in today because the gf decided to leave town last night.  What?  That's enough of that though :)  More money for me I guess!  I gots bills to pay! lol

Last Friday I went to the "water park" with my friend and her kids.  It's been YEARS since I was at one, and just about as long since I've been swimming.  That makes me sad.  I've been swimming since I was two, and when I gained a ton of weight back (thanks endocrine system!) I just stopped going.  I was finally talked into going though and I am SO glad I did!  It's like I never stopped going.  It was so much fun!  I even conquered my fear of falling, and dark places, by going on the drop slide and the enclosed inner-tube slides.  AMAZING!  I can't wait to go back next week!
