Mentality Nail Polish Ruffian and Proper Stamping

Nothing To Disclose

Hi, lovelies!  Monday I got a mystery prize package in the mail.  In it were four Mentalities.  I received Ruffian, Proper, Vicious, Glow and Fast Dry topcoat.  When I saw Ruffian and Proper next to each other on the swatch wheel, I had to use them together!  Below is Ruffian stamped with Proper.
Ruffian is a super rich royal blue satin.  It dries matte with the tiniest bit of shimmer.  It is stunning!
Proper is a bronze shimmer, that I think may have some holo in it.  It looks like there may be some scattered rainbows in there, but the sky has been nasty, so indoors I can't tell.  It is super pretty, though!

I think these polishes look amazing together, and Proper stamps super well (ignore the middle finger, I didn't re-paint the stamp image before I picked it up).  I will probably be using them both again, soon!

You can buy Mentality polishes at their new website now!

Cherimoya Matte.N.A- The Metals!

Hi everyone!  First and foremost, I need to apologize.  I am a ver sporadic poster.  I know a lot of bloggers only post twice a week or so, but I don't want to be that way.  I get behind.  I get so many manis, collections, etc that I don't want to sort through everything and just PICK something already!  That's what happened when I was preparing for, and participating in, the nail challenge.  I haven't updated on that because I ended up not finishing.  But, that's why I was behind.  I didn't know how to catch up!  I'm getting my butt in gear in the next couple of days, though, and I PROMISE that I will be back to a normal schedule in the next week or so!  So, on to today!

Here is my final installation of the Cherimoya Matte.N.A. polishes.  These are, as I said earlier, the "metals" as I call them.  I won't add much to what I said in the other posts.  These were all one coat as well!  Enjoy! :)

Blockbuster
Classic silver "foil" matte.  Gorgeous.

5 Stars
A bronze-y shimmer matte.  This looks very rich and metallic!

Oscar
In the first pic, it looks a lot like 5 Stars.  The second is a little more accurate!  They are very similar irl, though.

So there they all are!  What do you think of the matte trend?  What about "suedes" (aka shimmer mattes)? Let me know your thoughts!  Thanks for reading!

Cherimoya Matte.N.A: The Darks

Hi ladies!  For this Pink Wednesday, I have the second part of my Cherimoya Haul!  I call them "The Darks."  Mainly, the two darkest pinks that I got and a dark purple.  Two of my favorites are in this part!  I mean, I like them all.. but some are just way more amazing than others! We can't all be princesses, right?

Fantasy
Fantasy is a mid-range blue based pink.  It is super metallic and somehow still shines a bit.  Very pretty!

Mystery
This one is different than the others we've seen so far.  It is still "shimmery" (especially with a top coat. Oh. My. God.), but it seems flatter.  The shimmer is a lot more similar to the base in this one. My favorite of the entire bunch!

Hollywood
HW is somewhere between the "flat" and "metallic" mattes in this collection.  It is a little more shimmery than Mystery, but a little less metallic looking than Fantasy.  I love it!

All of the mattes used today were one coat.  ONE COAT!  These bottles will last me forever that way!  Yay!  They are super amazing, and this second group is my favorite from the whole order.  :)

How do you guys like these?  Are you going to pick any up?  Thanks for reading!

Cherimoya Matte.N.A Part 1

Hello!  I have been holding on to these pictures for quite some time.  I'm not sure why I haven't posted them yet!  After I received the Matte.N.A polishes from Cherimoya last year, I fell in love!  I finally went and bought some more!  I got 9 of the 10 "sparkly mattes" that I didn't already have.  I'm actually regretting not getting the last one!  Oh well.  Later.  :)

I'm going to post in three parts so you don't have to go through a million pictures at one time.  They have three "themes" as well.  Today will be the "light" pinks, and there are also the "dark pinks/purples" and "metals."

Fairytale
Fairytale is a "frosty" matte.  It is a light pink, but almost has a hint of neon to it, as you can see in the bottle.  Dries a tad lighter than bottle color.  I needed two coats for this one.

Cannes
Here we have a blue based mid-tone pink.  It is very metallic, but still very matte.  It is very interesting!  This is a one coat polish.

Rom-Com
As you might have expected, Rom-Com is my favorite from this bunch!  It is a sparkly, HOT pink matte.  It is super interesting, gorgeous and ONE COAT!  I love it. <3

The application on these was amazing.  Two of the three only required one coat!  You can also see that application was even and not really thick or complicated at all.  It dries super fast.  They have normal wear time for mattes.  That is, crappy.  I would suggest sandwiching these!  I haven't found a matte yet that I don't have to change the next day.  The good part about that is I change my polish almost every day anyway!  lol

I bought these from porkdaisy.com.  Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them.  I got them fast enough, and they were cheap ($2.35), but if you have a problem... Forget about getting it taken care of.  I have a crack in my Fairytale bottle and after several months I still haven't received a replacement.  In fact, even though they asked for a picture to "process" my complaint, I was never given a definite answer!  HOWEVER, they are the only authorized seller that I have found.  If you don't care about that, you can get them for about the same price with cheaper shipping from ebay or amazon.com.

Final thoughts: LOVE the polish, hate the seller.  Get them!

What do you guys think?  Do you know of any other sellers?  I would love to know (I NEED that last one!!!!)!  Thanks for reading!

BB Couture Men on Film *pic heavy*

Hi everyone!  Apologies for the inconsistency lately.  I've been "sick" and I'm just not been able to kick it so I've been really tired.  I'm being forced (teehee) to visit a Dr though, so hopefully I can get some medicine and be back to myself soon!

Today I have an exciting review for you!  These are my first ever BB Couture polishes!  What do I think of them?  Read on!

The BB Couture Men on Film collection is the first collection of mattes they have put out.  Like previous men's collections, they are all very dark, "dirty," manly shades.  This specific collection is named after action films.  I don't watch many action films, so I won't be able to comment on them, but many of you will for sure recognize them, at least!

Commando
We're starting with one of my favorites.  Commando is a perfect drab, olive green.  It matches fatigue green perfectly, so the name is very appropriate!  No application issues (except on my index finger... I had TOO much on my brush! LOL), dries quickly and is pretty opaque.  At first I thought all of these were one coaters, but on second application I needed two.  Two were perfect! I probably wouldn't wear this one glossy.

Top Gun
This is the only movie out of all of these I've actually seen!  I love it.  I don't really call it an action movie either, but oh well.  I really think the name is appropriate for this shimmery, dark blue.  I actually do think of the NAVY when I see this shade!  This is a super smooth polish, and was perfect in two coats.  I will wear this one glossy as well.  Look at that shimmer!  Gorgeous.  :)

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is a very strange shade.  At first glance in the bottle, it's a perfect rust colored red.  On the nail, I'm not sure what to say about it!  It goes from that same rust in the first photo (with flash), to the red clay color you see in the rest of the photos. For a neutral, it actually works well on my skin tone, but I'm not sure if I'll wear it or not.  Nevertheless, it applies very well and covers in two coats.

Road Warrior
Road Warrior is a super dark gray, that's just short of actually being black.  I actually really like that it's so close without going over the edge.  It's a nice flat shade.  A good option for when you want dark, but not quite "no color."  Again, two coats.

Blade Runner
This may actually be my favorite!  Blade Runner is a shimmery gun-metal type shade.  It covers well in two coats and is beautiful.  After you add a top coat, all kinds of colors pop out!  It's INSANE!  I will be wearing this glossy for sure!

Lethal Weapon
Okay, I've seen this movie too.  It was awesome *don't hurt me!*.  However, the polish was just as confusing as Ghost Rider was.  You can see in the second picture how it looks in the bottle.  It's a bright(ish) magenta.  I really like it.  Then I put it on and it dries.... maroon.  That's not so much a bad thing, I was just a little disappointed.  If it dried like it looks in the bottle, I'd be all over it!  As it is, though, it might not ever be worn.  I'm not too into maroons.  The formula is good though, and this was two coats like the rest.

As a whole, this collection was hit and miss.  While I really like all but two of them, the others were big misses for me.  Buying them separately, though, I would for sure still get Top Gun, Commando, Blade Runner and most likely Road Warrior.

The only problem I had with these, formula wise, was with Lethal Weapon.  You can see on my ring finger there a lighter speck of color.  I think it is just pigment that didn't mix in.  I can't decide if I like it or if it's annoying.  lol

So, if you are into mattes, I would definitely check out this collection!  The MUST haves are Top Gun and Blade Runner.  Go get them!

These will be available from overallbeauty.com and BB Couture directly soon for $9.95 each.   I think that they are well worth it!

I will be showing you the girls side of this collection, Girls on Tape, soon.  I'm waiting to get a couple swatches done!  I can't WAIT to show you those, they are gorgeous!

Tell me what you think!  Thanks for looking!
