Lacquer Lust Opal

Morning, lovelies!  Sometime in the past month, I showed you the Lacquer Lust Pink Tourmaline that I HAD to have because it's my birthstone.  I wasn't happy with it.  Well, I'm happy with the polish, but not the birthstone part.  I've always secretly kind of shunned the tourmaline.  Awful.  I know.  But, why wouldn't I when I also get to claim the amazing opal?  I even cringe when I see people wearing it that weren't born in October.  I am seriously superstitious about my gems... and how dare they risk cracking such a beautiful stone?  Of course, now opals are mostly synthetic so they won't crack, but I still can't get it out of my head.  So I absolutely had to have the Opal polish.

Getting my hands on this was a little tricky.  I could never find it in stock, and most people selling it wanted way more than retail for it.  Which, honestly, annoys me.  This is a core polish, why charge MORE for it?  It'll just be back in stock later!  Finally, I found someone who was selling their bottle for retail so I grabbed it!

How gorgeous?  I am in total awe of this polish.  It looks exactly how you would expect it!  And, yes, that is a broken bottle cap.  Luckily, it still seals the bottle so it's all good... for now.

Today's Mani

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I forgot what today was, so I don't have pink this week.  Whoops!  I was actually just playing around last night when I came up with this mani so I didn't even topcoat it.  (I'm cleaning today... it won't last anyway *sigh*)  

So I have on Orly Fowl Play and Joe Fresh Twilight.  Two amazing flakies!  

The Orly is bumpy without topcoat, but it's pretty enough for the day!  What do you guys think?  Thanks for reading!

My First Picture Polish

Hi everyone!  I got super exciting mail yesterday!  Not only did I get some Barielle that I had been expecting, but I got a swap package from Singapore!  She had asked which piCture pOlish I wanted if she could get them and I chose Shamrock.  

Shamrock is a dark green jelly/cream.  I love it!  I added an accent of PP Hypnotize on the ring finger.  Love this polish!  It'll be great for St. Patrick's day!

*update*  I ruined the accent on my right hand as I was writing this.  It will probably come off fairly early tomorrow.  Bummer.  *stupid sheets*

FingerPaints Flakies!

Hi guys!  Today I am sharing with you my experience with the FingerPaints Special Effects!  

As soon as we all started seeing swatches of these, we knew they were going to be hard to come by!  For me, that was an understatement.  I had heard that Sally's in other cities were getting them earlier than mine, so I had a set sent to me.  I was then asked if I could get another, and since they hadn't shown up at my store yet, I figured I could.  I couldn't.  In fact, my store sold out the day the were put on the shelf.  I never even got to see the display!  Luckily, I found someone who had an extra set.  So we were right.  These things went FAST!  I'm hoping that these will be available on the website for awhile, because I really think that everyone needs at least one of these.  They are so pretty!  

For the photos, I wanted to make sure I got an accurate depiction of each top coat, so I mattified them.  I really like the look of mattified flakies, probably for the same reason everyone else does!  So, let's take a look, shall we? 

Twisted

Twisted is probably the best of the bunch here!  It has flakes of just about every color you can imagine being in one polish.  Right off I can see pink, purple, blue, green, red, orange and yellow.  So pretty!  This is a MUST have if you can get to it! 

Asylum

Asylum is Twisted's little sister.  There aren't quite as many colors, or flakes even, in this one.  Mostly blue/purple but also with pink and red/orange.   I REALLY like this one too!  The pink and blue look incredible together. 

Flecked

Flecked is a basic green flakie.  You could probably skip this one if you have any like it.  

Motley

Motley is green and blue flakes.  A lot like the Zoya flakies Opal and Maisie, but with a clear base.  If you have those, you could skip this one.  OR vice versa. 

Flashy

I really love Flashy!  It is red flakes that flash orange.  I don't have any other flakies like this!  I have a "fire" mani coming up in March that I'm going to try to use this with.  It's perfect! 

So, those are my thoughts on this collection.  I am SO glad that I got this set!  Even if I did have to pay a little extra for shipping! :)  I want to hear all your thoughts too! 

Before I go, I want to know what you want to see as far as Valentine manis.  I'm going to start getting some ready this week and want some suggestions!  Thanks!

Nfu-OH #51

Hi all!  I've been looking at pictures I've been taking, trying to get them edited down for drafts, and I came upon these.  They been there almost a month!  I can't believe it.  I'm really sorry that I have kept everyone waiting on this beauty!  Check it out... My first (and only!) Nfu-OH... #51. 

I got this beautiful girl from my polish BFF Erika with my Christmas gifts.  How amazing is she!?  Unfortunately, I can't remember what this is layered on.  I'm sure it was a dark purple, probably Grape Pop.  It's beautiful, and I LOVE it!  Thank you, Erika!

Cult Nails Iconic Revisited

Hello, hello!  If you remember, I won this polish from Maria herself way back this summer.  I immediately did a post on it!  It's gorgeous.  You may also remember that the pictures sucked!  So, I took a couple more.  They still aren't great, but are a lot better than the first time!  

I added some of the stickers I got in a SS package and I think they look great.  My cuticles don't look quite as bad irl, so I'm not too worried about it.  The camera sure does make them looked stained though!  lol  Sorry about that.  :)  What do you think of this polish?  Comment!  Thanks for looking! :) 

New Lemming Squashes

Hi everyone!  I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger this weekend.  I've just been SO busy!  That's no excuse, and I apologize.  However, I have some great things to show you in the coming weeks!  YAY!

Todays polish is a squashed lemming.  I placed an order Friday for some Secret Santa polishes, and decided to throw this in for me.  I couldn't help it!  The reason I hadn't ordered it before is the shipping, so why not, right?  I'm talking about Color Club Alias.  Let's look.

Alias is a HOT duo chrome that looks almost like Beetle.  I couldn't capture it with flash, and I don't have sun... I'll try again soon!  To make it a little more special, I added Elle's Spell to my accent fingers.  Looks amazing!  I LOVE Elle's spell with pretty much everything.  :) 

Let's talk about Transdesign for a second too.  I seriously ordered these polishes on Friday.  Today is Monday and I have them already.  I'm SHOCKED!  That is amazing!  Super fast shipping, and it's quite a bit cheaper than other etailers I've used too.  I will be using them more!  (Although, I did get charged for two polishes I don't remember adding to my cart.... I'm keeping them, but it was a little strange.  You never know with me though!)  Thanks for looking! 

But, I'm A 212! I've Always Been A 212!

Yup!  Today I'm showing you $OPI 212-Sephora!  This polish was made for the opening of the Sephora Times Square store, and was thought to be limited edition (i.e.: Extinct).  Turns out, it's been re-released as a core (I think!) color!  It isn't marked LE on the website anymore anyway!  YAY!  So, go grab it!  I can show you pictures, and they are going to suck, so go to the store and see for yourself!  It is SO much better in person!  Enjoy!

These are seriously the only "good" pictures I could get.  I haven't seen any that are better! This shade is just Too. Hard. To. Capture!  There is holo micro glitter, duo chrome, flakes... It's truly insane.  Go check it out today!  GO!

Fall Nails! If Fall is Flakie, Dark and Gold?

Hi everyone!  So, if you are in my fb groups, you will know that I have "planned" out all my posts until the end of the year.  I may have mentioned it to you here as well, but I don't remember!  Today's post was supposed to be "Fall Nails."  Whatever that means.  I had envisioned something gorgeous, with reds and golds and oranges... That wasn't going to happen.  THEN I wanted to do a moon mani with Fowl Play under gold, and matte on top.  I don't have round stickers.  Or matte topcoat.  So, I threw in the towel and just started layering crap.  Seriously.  I got a bunch of polishes today (Sunday's haul is going to be MASSIVE!) that I wanted to use.  You can't really tell what anything on my nail is, but we can take a look anyway!  (Sorry for the mess... I don't know if I'm keeping it or not!)

So what I did here (love how those two middle pics aren't watermarked. GRRR) is use a coat of black, put Fowl Play on top then sponge 212-Sephora (YES I GOT IT!) about two thirds down, then sponged China Glaze It's My Turn on the tips.  It's pretty, but it's not what I had in mind!  What do you think?  Let me know!  Thanks for looking everyone! 

MOM! The Unicorn Puked in My Purse Again!

Rivka Jenny and HITS Tango

Hey all!  Not much to say today, I'll just let you look at all the pretty pictures :)  They are a LITTLE messy.  I didn't notice until I was at work looking at the pictures.... So sorry about that... But otherwise, enjoy!!!

The beautiful holo, Jenny and the flakie are both polishes from my swap with Tata.  I am so incredibly impressed with everything she sent me!  We will be setting up another one soon!  If you have access to Brazilian polishes, I HIGHLY suggest you pick up their holos!
