Zoya Zenith Collection for Holiday 2013

*Products in this post were provided for review.  No other compensation was received for giving my opinion of the product.*

Hello!  Hope everyone's early morning is going well.  I was so busy all day, I just got time to sit down and write!  So today I have the Zenith collection.  I always LOVE Zoya's holiday collections, and this was no exception!

First is Serephina.  I am in love with this girl!  She's so icy and gorgeous.  Serephina is a white/silver that is just perfection on it's own, or with a base for art.  This is three coats.

Cassedy is a very unique green hued grey.  It is both beautiful, and unique to anything that I have in my collection.  I included a "not so good" picture because it showed when it looks more gunmetal than green.  It's just amazing.  Two coats.

Payton.  I don't know what to say about it.  ;)  Payton is a darker version of the holos from last year's collections.  Apparently, this cranberry beauty doesn't like me, and gives me lobster fingers :/.  In the bottle it's beautiful, it just doesn't play nice with my skin tone.  Two coats here.

Dream is Payton's blue counterpart.  This one works much better with me!  It's a perfect blue with that amazing holo running through it.  Two coats.

Belinda reminds me of Illamasqua Baptiste.  I don't think it's as dark, but I can see the individual blue and red parts.  I don't know if everyone can, of if I just imagine it... but yeah.  lol  This beautiful purple is perfect in two coats.

Last is Mosheen.  I couldn't get pictures of this topper that are as good as say... The PolishAholic... but that's because she's amazing.  Anyway, this is a topper that contains iridescent blue bar glitters, and smaller iridescent glitters.  In the first pic you can see what one coat looks like over Cassedy.  In the second, how it looks over Serephina.  In real life, the glitter really is this subtle.  To me anyway.  It's very pretty, just wish it was more apparent.

So what do you think of this collection?  I was a little late... but you can still order it from zoya.com for $9 each.

Love or hate?  I think this collection was a home run!

See you tomorrow, ladies!

These Colors Don't Run!

Happy Independence Day to my American readers!  Usually, I try to salute the troops, but I'm running out of ideas and I did camo print last year.  I'm giving it a rest and posting Old Glory instead!

I'm not thrilled with the spun sugar effect that I got with these polishes, but the overall effect is perfect!  What do you think?  Thanks for reading, have a fun and safe day!

(and PS: while the colors on the American flag do not run, I screwed this up and the [wet] red on my nails did.  FAIL!)

Dr's Remedy Jolly and Joy Holiday 2011

Hi everyone!  Today I have my second review for Dr's Remedy.  The AMAZING Jolly and Joy collection!  These five shades were recently released for the 2011 Holiday.  I've already told you about the company, so I'll jump right in!

REVIVE Ruby Red
Another red!  I actually like this one.  I think I'm being converted into a red lover.  It's a gorgeous glowing shade, very classic.  The formula was a little thin and I had a tad bit of trouble with application.  The brush is partly to blame, otherwise it was the thin formula.  I like my polishes a little thicker!

Here's what I'm talking about with the brush.  It's smaller, and really stiff.  The bristles didn't really spread out that much.  It was the only polish with a brush problem, so I'm sure I just got a wonky one!

ESSENTIAL Emerald
This is a beautiful shade that you wouldn't really expect to see as a green in a holiday collection.  I'm really loving this lighter shade with a delicate silver shimmer running through it.  This one was thicker and applied perfectly!

PASSION Purple
This is another that is kind of surprising to me.  I call it more of a "sugar plum" shade than a purple.  Again, this has a delicate shimmer that makes it shine beautifully!

SERENE Silver Glitter
This is the polish I was most excited about in this collection!  I wasn't disappointed.  In fact, I was totally WOWed!  A gorgeous silver glitter that also has blue, purple and pink glitter mixed in.  So pretty.  Shown is two coats.

RESOLUTION Red Glitter
The final polish in the collection is a stunner!  It is described as a "red meets copper spin."  Honestly, I don't see that though.  I see silver and pink glitters.  Still a favorite!  This is also two coats.

Overall I am VERY pleased with this collection!  All but the red went on beautifully and are just gorgeous.  The thin formula of REVIVE is the only real problem I have.  I may be able to correct that by leaving the bottle open for a few minutes, which I will try.  The brush is another story though!  I'll have to figure out how to deal with that...

SERENE and ESSENTIAL are both unique shades that I will be wearing quite a bit.  I am just in love with them!  If you only pick up two, make them these!

Dr's Remedy is available online at remedynails.com or by calling 877-323-NAIL.  They normally retail for $17 each (worth it if they help your nails!), but this weekend (through Monday, 11/28) they are $14 each.  They are also offering free shipping!  Definitely check that out if you are a Black Friday shopper!

Be sure to like them on Facebook or follow on Twitter to keep track of new releases and deals!

What do you all think of these shades?  In love like I am?  Let me know down below!  (haha, I rhymed teehee)  Thanks for looking!

Let It Snow! (Or Not. Snow Sucks)

Hey guys!  I don't have a "review" today, but my thoughts on the China Glaze Let It Snow collection.  Or, the glitters.  I wasn't really interested in the rest.  I was actually very disappointed in this year's collection!  The creams are boring, and the one blue shimmer, looks like it is just a re-release of this summer's blue.  Blue Iguana?  Yeah.  I think that was it.  So, in the end I just got four glitters.  I'm confident that I made the right choice, and I am in love with the ones I got!  So, let's take a look!

Snow Globe
This was released a couple years back as a holiday color and I missed it!  I wasn't going to let it happen again.  Basically it is different sizes and shapes of iridescent glitter.  Obviously meant to be a topper, this is one coat on top of Bootie Babe Pinky Dinky.

Glittering Garland
I wasn't going to buy this until I saw Erika's swatch!  Then I knew I HAD to have it! It is gorgeous.  Like, the more beautiful sister of Emerald Sparkled!  (Which I need a new bottle of. Throwing that out there!)

Twinkle Lights
This is the equivalent of last years Party Hearty (which I did not get. Bummer!). It goes absolutely wonderfully with anything, or builds in three coats to wear beautifully on it's own! It is just gold, green and red glitter.  I was having problems showing how awesome it is, hence the blurry cotton ball pic!  How great is that?

Tinsel Town
This is the one I was most excited about! All of the swatches I had seen just captivated me!  It looks like a charcoal version of It's Alive! My favorite of the collection :)

I may go back for Holly Day and Ring in the Red, but I'm not going to make them a priority.  I'm very satisfied with the ones I decided to pick up!  Have you guys grabbed these?  Which ones?  Let me know!  Thanks for looking!

Happy Independence Day!

Hi everyone!  Here in the US it is Independence Day!  (NOT July 4th as most people say, we celebrate the event, not the day!)  I finally decided what I was going to do for my nails this year.  I actually went back and forth about my design for quite awhile.  I finally ended up doing classic camo and white with red/blue shatter on my accent finger and thumb.  I wanted to use the camo design that is currently in use, but I didn't have enough tan like colors.

I don't have any plans for today, but I bet the rest of you in the US do, so I'll keep this short.  Here are pictures of both hands.  Enjoy!

Pinky, middle, pointer finger
Base: ChG FYI
Zoya Ivanka
ChG Unplugged
Art Deco nail art in black

Accent fingers
Base: Pure Ice Super Star
Opi Blue Shatter
Opi Red Shatter

I freehanded the camo design.  NBD! HA I like the camo on my left hand better, but the "flags" on my right hand.  What do you think?  Thanks for looking everyone! Have an amazing day!
