La Bella Vernice is Dream(ing) Out Loud

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Hi ladies!  Today I have another LBV polish to show you!  This is one of my personal contributions to the line (you'll see plenty more, I can assure you! LOL).  It has been in my dreams for ages, and I kept hoping that an indie brand would somehow pull the vision out of my head and create it.  That never happened.  So, when Roni decided to start an indie brand, this polish was a MUST for me to create!

The name of this beauty is Dream Out Loud.  For several reasons.  First of all, because this is literally a dream polish for me.  I used to see it, smell it, taste it and I couldn't wait until it existed!  Second, Dream Out Loud is a personal mantra of mine.  Some dreams are unattainable, but that shouldn't stop you from trying to reach them.  No matter what they are.  Helping Roni with this brand, being able to create alongside her, fulfills many dreams of mine.  Dream Out Loud represents all of the dreams that people haven't been able to speak.  Speak them out loud and they are more likely to happen!

Okay, finally on to the polish!  There is a lot of amazing going on here, and it is very hard to capture. Because of that, there are several pictures of varying lighting and quality to make sure I got it all!  In the pink base, there are hot pink holo hexes, a blue and green duo chrome shimmer, and a very slight holo.  Check it out!

The bottle shots show everything the best!
Here you can really see the hexes and the green shimmer.
This blurry bottle shot shows the green shifting to blue.

The holo is super hard to capture, it's barely there anyway.  It's in there to add extra sparkle.  :)  I plan on revisiting this polish in the spring when I can get it in the sun!

This, like the other LBVs I'll be showing you are available for $10 for large bottles and $4.50 for minis.  Find them at bellavernice.com
Thanks for looking!

Comments On Commenting... And Some Polish. I Guess.

Hi ladies!  Did my title scare you?  Sorry.  I apologize.  The blog post IS going to be mainly polish, I just feel crappy.  Ick.  And I want to touch quickly on something that has been bugging me lately.  So, I'll do that first.

Blogger has been having a lot of issues lately.  It's been an absolutely constant battle to get things to work right.  Or, the way I think they should work.  First (and the biggest problem I have), I had to delete intense debate because I couldn't get it to work with the new blogger format.  That seriously bugged me.  I LOVED knowing that when I replied directly to a comment, it was going to notify the person that I had done so.  I seriously appreciate every comment I get, and I like to let you all know that I read them.  Honestly, that's why I have to approve comments.  It ensures that I read each and every one and that I don't miss any.  I know I say I'm going to reply to them, but how many of you (unless you ask a direct question) actually remember to check to see if there are replies?  It doesn't happen.  You read the post (or even just look at the pics.  I'm guilty of that too, and I'm okay with you doing it!), leave a comment and go about your day.  So, you can imagine my absolute giddiness when I heard there were direct replies on blogger!

Then that feeling went away.  Direct comments don't really mean crap.  They are threaded now (yay for organization!), but you still have to check to see if your comment has been replied to.  It's crap.  If you are going to improve upon something, do it right.  I guess it's a step in the right direction, but they could have taken it all the way.  After all, that is what they get paid to do.  (Which makes me wonder why the blogroll issue hasn't been fixed yet......)

I guess what I'm getting at here is this:  Do you guys mind that I don't reply if you know I read them?  Do you check back for them?  If I found a way to email you replies, would you like me to do that?  I want your thoughts.  I feel really crappy when I don't answer comments, but I've seriously never held a conversation on these threads.  When I do comment, I feel like it goes unnoticed.  That's discouraging. Plus, I want you to feel like I AM reading them, and I AM listening.  So, tell me what I can do!

Now, onto what you all come here for!  I went a little crazy around Christmas and bought 8 Cult polishes.  At the time, I felt like they were the remainder of what I NEEDED (which of course, now includes Toxic Seaweed *fingers crossed*).  Today I am showing you Mind Control.

I gasped when I pulled this polish out of it's wrapping!  It's gorgeous.  I don't think I had seen good swatches of it yet and I was WOW'd.  Check it out:

Mind Control is an extremely greyed-out purple with tons and tons of pink/fuchsia micro glitter. It is an absolute stunner!  I feel mysterious when I wear it.  I know that sounds strange, that a polish can make me feel that way, but trust me.  It does.  I also can't stop staring at it!  If you get one Cult Nails polish, please do yourself a favor and make it this one!

Finally, I don't think my baby makes the blog often enough.  I came across this picture while I was hunting down the Cult photos:
It was already edited and looked super cute, so I put it in the post.  Wrigley says HI!  lol

So, let me know what you think about the commenting situation, eh?  I love you guys!  Thanks for reading :)

SinfulColors Cinderella

I want to apologize.  There are several things that are wrong with this post, but I need to do it anyway.  First off, you are going to see this polish a LOT in the coming days.  One blogger found it, and word has spread like wildfire.  It is amazing.

Secondly, my pictures do no justice.  I really wanted to inspire a polish frenzy at Walgreens, but no matter what I do I can't capture the pure amazing that is Cinderella.  You will have to take what I show you and use your imagination to fill in the rest.   I wish I could say that it's just my pictures, but all the others I've seen (even the ones better than mine) are still missing, well, a lot.

So, what is Cinderella?  Almost perfect.  I actually gasped in the store.  You really can't expect how beautiful it is!  What we have is a Cinderella-dress blue, with a pink-to-gold shift shimmer inside.  Like I said, I tried to catch it, but it does NOT want to show up on camera!  But, have a look.

My first light box pics!  Sorry they are a little awkward, I'll have to get used to holding my hand certain ways.  So, there are three that show the pink shimmer... almost.  Then, the last photo sort of catches the gold.  IRL, it is so much stronger and SO much prettier!

What do you think?  Swoon worthy?  I'm hoping to get some more of the new SinfulColors soon, but I couldn't bring myself to take attention away from this one quite yet.

The bad news?  This is available as part of a "Heartbreakers" display... that we probably won't get. The good news?  It's also permanent!  That is the only official information I have about these new shades, but they should be popping up in the main display soon!

Thanks for reading!

Zoya Jules

Hi everyone!  I had my first day of work  yesterday, and it was awesome!  I also have an interview for a third (yup. 3) job coming up next week that I hope goes well!  Since I'm going to be busier than crap this holiday season, I have written out a schedule of posts for the rest of the year.  I may not stick to it completely, but at least I have ideas written down so I'll never have to worry about no inspiration!
Today I had decided to wear a Zoya.  I picked Jules because I've never worn it before, and really, it was the first one I saw!  lol  I don't think I like it though.  Let's take a look, shall we?

So, Jules is a pretty basic beige/tan/whatever nude type shade with heavy gold shimmer.  I don't know WHY I bought it.  I know I hate neutrals!  I'm going to give it a chance to grow on me today, otherwise it may be going to a swap partner.  We'll see!  What polishes have given you this same feeling?  Let me know!  I've been missing y'alls comments lately!  (I know, my fault... but still! lol)  Thanks for looking!

Tuff Scents Revisited

Hi everyone!  Maybe you remember the other day when I did my initial Tuff Scents review.  I had said that I was giving the beautiful Faith to someone who would give it a good home.  Well, she sent me her bottle of Kiss to try out.  So, here is my Tuff Scents review Part 2 (although greatly shortened. lol).
Took some bottle shots so you can see the quote and etc. :

Kiss is a light taupe with a silver shimmer running through it.  When I opened the box, I was stunned.  It is beautiful!  Unfortunately, I think it is too light for my skin.

I'm not sure what it is, but I really don't like the way it looks.  It would be good underwear for something.

This baby, although it smells wonderful, like pie, is going back to it's home.
So, in conclusion, I still love this brand, I still want to try more polishes, and I still really enjoy their take on scented polishes.  One of these days I will find one that doesn't hate me.  Hopefully they will have a sale soon or something.  Or, maybe curiosity will get the best of me.  We'll see!  Thanks for looking! :)

Zoya Tao

Hi everyone!  Looking at the pictures I have prepared for you this month, I'm kind of glad I had to cut them.  They look...Uneven.  Now they are all "perfect."  It's good to start over sometimes!

Today, I have Zoya Tao.  I'm not going to talk much about it.  Just let you look.  This is because I am sure you have seen it a MILLION times and read a billion how great the formula etc is.  I'll leave all that out.  I will say (since I am showing the other Saturday) that I don't agree with everyone else about Tao and Marina's similarities.  They are both VERY unique to my collection and are beautiful.  I will be wearing them both a ton!  Take a look:

Isn't it great?  Anyway, I am exhausted.  That means I have nothing to talk about.  Leave me some questions or conversation points to give me something to do!  Have a good day! Thanks for looking! :)

China Glaze MM, Preview

Hi everyone!  Again, I don't have a Pink Wednesday.  I'm so disappointed in myself.  I'm not disappointed in why though.  I have on another fall color.  I'm in love and I can't take it off.  What is this amazingness?  China Glaze Midtown Magic.  Seriously, check this out:

This is pretty much what it looks like when you see it in brighter light.  It's so dark and vampy and pretty... with a little sparkle in it.

I had to include a blurry shot.  It shows all the different colors of sparkle in this polish.  Burgandy, gold and a little green are mainly what I can see.  *swoon*

Then this under normal conditions.  This is where the base color pops out.  A great darkened plum, illuminated by the dark red shimmer.  I really love this polish.  It's perfect for fall!  Get it!  :)

Now, the preview of next week's pink wednesday:

Preview!
That's all girly's!  Kind of exhausted so that's all I've got.  Summary: Buy the Metro collection.  I haven't found a color yet that I don't LOVE.  Vote in the poll.  12 days to enter my giveaway.  Do it!  Thanks for looking!

FOTM: China Glaze Unplugged

Hi everyone!  You know that post yesterday?  When I said I was super busy?  Yeah.  So, I got tickets to the Nascar Nationwide race today so I'm going to be there.  Hopefully I'll be able to post my haul, I already have pictures taken.  Anyway, not going to say much but here is ChG Unplugged.

Indoors

Outdoors.
Not really my shade, but it's good if you need a nice chocolate brown.  I use it mainly for......Well... I've only used it once besides this time.  But I always think I need chocolate brown so I'm sure I'll use it this fall. Thanks for looking!

FOTD: Sinful Mint Apple

Hi everyone!  So, last night was CRAZY bust and I didn't get anything done.  Sorry! :) I also think I'm going to be gone this weekend... So hopefully I'll have some stuff set up.  I'm going to stay with a friend all weekend and we're going to go do TONS of stuff... Including sending me on a date.  lol  It'll be fun.

Anyway, today I'm showing you Sinful Colors Mint Apple (or is it mint CANDY apple?).  It's a pretty mint green with yellow/gold and maybe some silver shimmer in it.  Take a look:

Inside

Outside

I don't know how often I'll wear it, but it's a good  color.  Good two coat application.  Normal stuff.  Still hate the brush though!

On related news, I had to cut my nails WAY back after working Tuesday, and my right thumbnail BROKE even shorter!  WTH!?!?  I didn't know it was possible to break a nail that didn't have a free edge. Grrr!  So I  guess they'll be short awhile.  At least they look cute!

That's all I've got.  Pretty boring post today.   Maybe something more exciting tomorrow...I hope! Thanks for looking :)

FOTM: China Glaze Trendsetter

Hi everyone!  I know you are all excited to see swatches of my last haul. I have good news, and bad.  Good news, I swatched some of them for my FOTM posts, and will be showing you those first.  Bad news, I am ULTRA busy this week, so that's all I'll be able to do.   Hopefully I can swatch them sometime next week to get up here.  :(

Today, I am showing you the new ChG Trendsetter.  It's gross.  Seriously.  lol  Gross in a good way.  Sound weird?  Look and see if you can tell what I mean:
Outside, no flash

I don't think you can see it.  You may just have to try this polish yourself.  What it is, is a gross, nasty green.  Really.  Then, you get it in light and BAM you have gorgeousness.  There is this insane gold/yellow shimmer in it that totally changes the color.

Inside, flash
I'm really disappointed that you can't see it in these pictures.  In the next maybe?

Kinda.  Anyway.  I, surprisingly, hater of all greens, am really liking this polish.  The shimmer factor just wows me.  It really is very pretty when you have the right light on it.  And yes, I really am wearing it to work today.  I want to stare at it some more :)
Application wise?  WOW.  I had read somewhere that it was streaky on first coat.  Um.  No.  It was perfect.  It was almost a one-coater in fact.  A girl with shorter nails could probably get away with one since there wouldn't be any VNL.  It's amazing.  It's easy to control, pigmented, and delicious.  I recommend you pick it up.  Or at least borrow it to try once :)

Before I go, I was wondering if there were a way you guys would want me to change anything. Less features?  More about me?  LESS about me?  Give me some feedback!  I want to make this the best blog it can be! Thanks for looking!
