Franken: Rainbow's Treasure

Good Monday everyone!  I'm excited for several things today.  I get THREE packages in the mail today!  YAY!  Two polishes and a Birchbox.  :)  Plus, I have this to show you.  I talked about it a little last week, but it got pushed back until today for various reasons.  So, here it is.  My holo franken topcoat!

Left to right:
2 coats alone, 1 coat alone, 1 coat over Pure Ice Super Star, ChG Pelican Gray,
SC Unicorn, Orly Flirty, ChG Flip Flop Fantasy, FingerPaints Magenta Mood,
ChG Frostbite, OPI It's My Year, OPI Grape...Set... Match, SC Irish Green

I've put it over pretty much every kind of color I can think of.  I know there are more, but these were the ones I could think of that I would use the most.

This picture sucks, but it shows the holo on the orange that doesn't show in the other pic.

Various darks.  Left to right: Red, Silver, Black, Black, Blue, Purple.

I don't know the color names on the second wheel.  I did it last week and forgot to write it down.  They are all darks/vampies.  I think it looks great on pretty much everything.  It doesn't work AS well with pastels (yellows and greens anyway) because it darkens it a bit.  It's a little tricky to work with.  I think I need a few drops of thinner in there.

Formula was simple.  I took about 3/4 of a clear polish and added holos until it was full.  I could have made it lighter so it wouldn't change colors, but I figured I would be using it with darker colors so A) I didn't think it would matter and B) I don't really have enough of a light colored holo I wanted to use.  I'm running seriously low on FYI and L8R G8R.

So, what do you think?  Was it a waste of polish?  What would you wear it over?  Let me know!  Thanks for looking! :)

  3. Gorgeous! It lets you holo-fy colors you've already got instead of having to try and hunt down new holo polishes.
