For the flag I used a white base, and used Orly Old School Orange and Orly Fresh to make the flag. I freehanded it, but it would work really well with a strip of tape down the middle. As you can see, Fresh was a little hard to clean up, but I found my brush so it would look better if you used one.
While I like this mani, it's too similar to what I did last year. I'm looking for something a little flashier this time around. Ideas? Let me know what you all are wearing! Thanks for looking :)
cute!

DeleteI like the flag colors as an accent nail, it is not your typical St. Pat's manicure.
ReplyDeleteI see it in blogs once in awhile, but I really love it. I have never seen it irl!
DeleteReally cute! Love the flag :D
ReplyDeleteThat's my favorite part! Thanks!
DeleteI like the flag accent nail...looks good - though not sure how many folks (if you are out and about) will know that's what the Irish flag looks like! If you want something different than what you did (this) last year...you could do white 4 leaf clovers over the glittering green metallic, then line the outside of the clovers with a thin line of gold. It would show up well from a distance. You also can make a sticker of a free hand 4 leaf clover on white sticky paper from the craft store, or just use a large enough Avery label from the office section of any drug store. Make one good one and then trace the rest that you need. Cut them out carefully and stick those on the nails - line the outside going just over the edge of the sticker and then put your top coat on to seal the stickers down. It will last long enough to get through the couple days we tend to keep our Patty's day 'stuff' on/around.
ReplyDeleteI figure, where I will be out, they had better know what it is! lol
DeleteVery cool
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
